I am Sonny Robbins, a proud member of the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation and a cultural knowledge keeper, educator, and community leader. My work is deeply rooted in traditional teachings, and I am committed to sharing Indigenous knowledge, history, and lived experience in ways that are respectful, meaningful, and accessible.
I have spent many years engaging in cultural education through storytelling, land-based learning, and community gatherings. My teachings emphasize the importance of oral history, cultural protocols, and the continued presence of Algonquin people on our ancestral lands. I strive to help participants develop a deeper understanding of Algonquin worldviews, values, and our relationship to the land.
As a facilitator, I bring a calm, welcoming approach to my work and carry a strong responsibility to honour the teachings I share. I work with schools, colleges, universities, organizations, and community groups to deliver cultural workshops, guided tours, event planning, and consultation services that support education, truth, and reconciliation.
I am also actively involved in community-led initiatives and cultural events, including sobriety-focused gatherings that promote wellness, connection, and healing. Everything I do is guided by respect for my ancestors and a commitment to supporting future generations through cultural revitalization, education, and shared learning.
